Q-linea AB (publ) (OMX: QLINEA) today announces that the company has extended its European partner network through an agreement with the Romanian distributor S.C. Mecro System S.R.L.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Efforts to control antimicrobial resistance (AMR) varies considerably between countries. Romania is one of the countries in Europe with high AMR levels. Through support from EEA Grants, Romanian experts have drawn up a national action plan (1) guiding strategies and actions for AMR governance.<\/p>\n

“The rise of antibiotic-resistant organisms calls for implementation of rapid identification (ID) and antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) methods to optimize use of antibiotics. Mecro System’s expertise and product offering within rapid bacterial ID is an excellent fit with ASTar System, allowing same-day reporting of results to clinicians”, said Stuart Gander, CEO of Q-linea. <\/p>\n

Launch activities include showcasing ASTar System at the 17th National Conference of Microbiology and Epidemiology, on 7-9 November in Iași, Romania.<\/p>\n
