Fast.

ASTar is a rapid AST system that delivers full AST reports in approximately six hours and effortlessly handles even the heaviest workloads.

  • Test directly from positive blood culture samples.
  • Start your day by loading up to six cartridges for sample preparation.
  • Continuous random access enables twelve samples to be analyzed in parallel.

ASTar provides exact completion times for each run so you can plan your day without any surprises.

Easy.

ASTar requires less than two minutes of hands-on time and has a simple three-step workflow where all stages of inoculum preparation and susceptibility testing are handled for you. All you need to do is:

  1. Load the cartridge
  2. Insert the disc
  3. Start the run

Once testing is complete, a comprehensive AST report is ready for review.

ASTar streamlines the AST workflow to free up your time, allowing you to redirect your focus to other critical laboratory activities.

All testing on a single disc

A single ASTar disc tests across a range of antimicrobials, antimicrobial dilutions, and pathogens, eliminating the amount of prep work needed and reducing the likelihood of repeat testing.

The disc is designed to facilitate future panel expansion with new antimicrobials.
